Reliably good, a lovely change of pace in Bingo, and great for spicy food lovers.
I forget the Korean name for it, but the spicy squid dish is very tasty and it was perfectly cooked. Also, the bulgoki (marinated bbq beef) is delicious and I love the kimchi chige (spicy soup with tofu and a lot of other tasty tidbits).
I love this little restaurant! If you've never tried Korean food, I'd recommend going at lunch and ordering the "lunch box special". I've taken a couple of people here for their first Korean experience, and they both said they are going back.
The waitstaff is always friendly.
They're closed on Mondays.
I love this little restaurant located by Kentuck Fried Chicken where Porta-Bagel used to be. I used to visit them before they moved from the Vestal Plaza to this location. My favorite is the box lunch with teriyaki tofu, white rice, and shrimp. The appetizer always include Kim Chee and on occasion I've had spicy hot dog and fish cake along with various vegetables. My favorite to order appetizers are the fried mandoo and the steamed shumai dumplings with the special sauce. The miso soup with green onion is always hot and tasty. The hot tea is the way to go or the tea made with a fruit blend resembling oranges but is some other fruit. While waiting, read the Korean travel magazines and get a flavor of the home country. If you really want the best and have the urge to splurge, try the Bar-B-Q kalbi beef short ribs (my favorite dinner) or the chicken cutlet (my wife's favorite). Enjoy.
