I must say to those that have had a bad experience with "A Taste of Elegance Specialty Cakes", give them another chance only because I have ordered large cakes from this establishment for the past 3 years for my Pastor's Anniversary and have been astound by the cake, price, and the quality of the cakes that have been ordered. I am getting ready to order another cake for this years anniversary that will serve 150-175 people. Last year I ordered a cake that served 100-125 people. I am also impressed with how large they are able to make the cakes that have been ordered, German Chocolate, Red Velvet, and a yellow cake beautifully decorated. I hope that you all would give them a second chance to prepare a special treat for yourself, loved one, or friends.

I "WAS" a nine year customer of a Taste of Elegance / Ele. The quailty and coustmer sevice have gone down the tubes since the changed to ele'. The last cake I purchased wa decorated horibbly, collapsing and extremely dry. I attempted ordering another cake for my daughters birthday and the base price was around $60. They wanted to charge $15.00 to but flowers on in, $6.00 to stack two layers, $18.00 to tint the icing.... total would have been way in excessive of $100. Having same cake done elsewhere for $50. They used to be a small company committed to their costumer and product and have become a mass production baker with high cost and a sloppy product. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

My mother's birthday is on Christmas Day and in 2007 I ordered her a white coconut cake from TOE, with the regular icing and all-over coconut. That kind of cake is a tradition in my family and we ran out of time or we would have baked one ourselves, but the Woody's cake ladies have a very good reputation in our neck of the woods. So I picked up the cake, which was decorated beautifully, and we took it to Columbus for Mom's birthday. The cakes was delish, but we found the cake was yellow, not white, as I'd ordered. It was still good, but our tradition was for a white cake with coconut frosting. It's been a tradition in our family for over 50 years and stems from my mother's childhood when money and ingredients were scarce. My grandmother used to scrimp and save in order to be able to provide a white coconut cake for my mother's birthday, on Christmas Day. So that tradition for us is a good reminder of how blessed we are and we make a white coconut cake every year for that reason. So...when I got home, I called TOE and told them the cake had tasted great, but there was one little problem...it was yellow, not white as I'd ordered. They checked my order, said I was right, and that they'd like to make it up to us by sending gift certificates for our next order. We're going to use them this weekend for a Mother's Day cake. I've never had any problem with TOE, never had anyone give me attitude, and never had anyone say she couldn't fill an order - and I've asked for some unusual things too. They'll continue to have my business. In fact, for years, as each child in the family graduated from high school and/or college, I was the one asked to order "the cake" and it always had to be from Woody's, then from TOE. Their cakes have traveled long distances and have always been met with rave reviews.
