I have never had Sushi before and a few of my coworkers were looking for a Sushi place. I suggested Tako just because other people have told me it was a great place. So I went with them for lunch one day and it was a great experience. I agree with the other comments the service is great and the atmosphere is perfect. The people I sent with were thrilled about the place. I have gone back now two more times once for dinner and for dinner take out. I am totaly hooked and will be eating there often.
I always have a nice time at Tako.
Aura: They have sit in rooms (no shoes inside, please!) If you decide to sit at the bar there's plenty of trinkets to admire, a fountain, and nice, calming music playing.
Staff: Kind and friendly. The ladies dress in kimonos and I find it darling. The men will greet you pleasantly and are in their garb.
Last, but no least, food: It's always great!
A variety of delicious food and priced fairly! I normally like to eat there for lunch and work off all that I eat.
Recommended indeed!
Though weekends I notice it is more packed than on a weekday.
If you are from the area, this is a great place to go to satisfy that craving you have for sushi! The atmosphere is nice and they have private floor seated rooms available upon request. Bathrooms are clean (which is a great sign!) and the sushi chefs are very friendly. The Spicy Cruncy Tuna roll and the John Jr. Roll is great! They have a large list of specialty rolls that don't compare t any other place in the area. I will say, if you are looking for one place to top this and you are willing to travel, I can only recommend OHAMA in Middletown, Delaware! I am hooked on the place, however Tako is the only restaurant that comes close to OHAMA! If you are looking for new great places to try, I cannot stress it enough, you must travel to Delaware one evening! However, if you are not in the mood for a road trip, Tako Japanese is the place to be! I love it...and believe me, I am VERY critical of sushi restaurants!!
