I've been going to Lord's n Ladies for years, always have Erika as my stylist. I have never had an issue or problem until tonight. Erika, my regular stylist, wasn't available so I booked with someone else. My bad. Megan wouldn't perm my hair, said it was too dry because of the color I use - sorry Megan, my hair color isn't colored, it's natural, I've never even hightlighted. She didn't offer a treatment or product, maybe just didn't feel like doing it. When I told the girls at the desk I wasn't able to get the perm since Megan thought my hair was dry, they asked if she was going to treat it, I said she didn't offer or suggest that, so apparently not. Good business practice would be to use a conditioning treatment or suggest a product, and make an appointment for a later date, not send the customer (repeat customer) on their way. Sorry Erika, I'll wait for your schedule to open up next time!! I have no issues with the Salon, but I'm surprised they have a stylist on board who isn't interested in helping the customer. So if my car wasn't running properly and I took it too a garage, would they say, sorry, your car isn't running right, see ya! So now what? I guess I wait for Erika's schedule to open up.
I was going to lords and ladies and thought I had found the right person to do my hair. I was wrong, it turns out that unless you tip this person 20 to 30 % they will not do what you want them to do. (At least this perticular one) I told this person about how awful my last hairdresser was and how I was afraid to go anymore b.c of the damage I got from her, this person did my hair perfect 1 time and after that it looked like 6th Grader did it. I went in on a Monday for Hi-lights and instead of being the color he did the first time it was BLACK with little bits of blond, no where near the color it was supposed to be, I went back again two days later and tld him and he agreed it was too dark, did it again and needless to say it was wrong again. I won't step foot in there again .
I have been to the L&L in Pottstown and Douglassville for haircuts. I recently went for a full set of nails (I stopped going to my other place because they did it wrong and my nail ripped my real nail off - They were more than helpful and I loved my service. However, online, it said that it would cost me $49, but it ended up costing me $59 because she upgraded me to pink and whites without telling me. Two days later the one nail fell off and four others started chipping bad. They looked like crap so I called, because their policy says within a week, and the only thing they could offer me was to have them removed and a manicure done or to have them fixed. I didn't want them anymore and I am more than capable at giving myself a manicure so I wasn't happy with their suggestions. I suggested a gift certificate because they don't give cash, but they could not do that. The woman who talked to me on the phone was rude and demeaning and I am appauled that they could not appease me in other ways, being that I paid $70 total for my service. I honestly feel as if I was taken advantage of.
