Lavender House Tea Room

Took my daughters out for a luncheon. Nice ambiance but food was middle of the road and service was poor (had to ask several times for a napkin, the tabletop was dirty, no fork and no drink). Could be a nice place, but seems mis-managed.

This place is beautiful. It is wonderfully decorated with a grand piano, chandeliers, beautiful table settings. It is actualy called the Lavender House Restaurant and Tea Room. The food price is OK but you don't get much for the price, so we did leave hungry. The lady that runs the gift store is very nice. The wait staff was helpful but we did need to remind the staff twice to bring us something.

I would go back several times there.

Amen! Finally a place that can actually be called a Tea House. I always went to the Lady Primrose for years and when I moved back to Texas from California last year I was very depressed about the options I had in the area. I have tried just about every tea room in the metroplex area and found this one to be the best. The customer service was incredible and the food was wonderful, the freshest scones, tea sandwiches and miniature pastries in the city. I personally loved the salmon and lemon caper sandwich and lemon lavender scones. Sinful doesn't describe it.
