The atmosphere is amazing, with live music,and tasteful artwork, it is one in a million. Then when you taste the food wow!!! The fillet Mignon melts in your mouth. All the entrees are outstanding . The service was excellent. I wonder if MG went to the same place that we did??? ,They patronize local suppliers too. The Brown's Market Bistro will not disappoint you. Quaint Vermont at its finest.-

I recently stumbled on Brown's Market Bistro. Though I have been in the area on vacation many times I never knew such a restaurant existed here. It is a true gem and one of the best little bistro's I have ever found. I had the mussels and a steak. Both were as good as it gets. It was a friendly fun attmosphere with live piano music and a real neighborhood buzz going on. Clearly this is a place all the locals know about as everyone seems to know each other. It is just the best place I have found in years.

I have and will recommend Brown's to friends and family. If you want a filet mignon that slices like a piece of bread, a thick and tasty homemade corn chowder, an awesome curried chicken salad to go, or great flatbread pizza, you have come to the right place. They have successfully combined comfort and class, a friendly and professional approach and through the decor, kept the flavor of the history of the Bistro and community of Groton. The owner and chef work well to combine excellent flavorful dishes using as much as possible local foods. Did I mention the service, the beauty of BYOB, the melt-in-your-mouth toasted coconut cream pie or warmed chocolate torte drizzled with raspberry sauce?! Go for the experience, you'll go back.
