Stopped at Top Pot last weekend and the doughnuts were top notch but I gotta say that the coffee was pretty bad. So definetly stop in for the doughnuts but I'd find somewhere else to grab a cup of coffee. Oh and as for the service the guy that helped us was super! Really friendly and patient with our questions and inability to decide what we wanted =)
I have to agree with the person who said that the service in the UW area in Seattle, was pretty rude! I almost felt uncomfortable waiting for my coffee because the person making it, was so cold! The donuts were pretty good, though, I would have to admit. I had a mocha and it was ok.
The first time I went to Top Pot was a year or so ago when it was still fairly new and I was impressed with the kitchy sign and decor but that was about all that was good about the place. The service bordered on rude and the featured product, donuts were stale to say the least. They reminded me of the ones you buy in a package at the grocery store. Since I only live a few blocks away I figured I must have just hit it on a bad day and so gave it another try a couple months later. It was every bit as bad as the first time. I almost choked on the dry and styrofoam-like circles they called donuts. Never again. Do yourself a favor and try one of the many other coffee shops located in Seattle. This one sucks.
