I have been to this restaurant several times for dinner and always enjoyed my meals until the last couple of times. It seems that both service and the entrees are deteriorating. The last time I went in with friends it was for lunch. I ordered their lunch special which was shrimp and scallops with pasta for $15.00. The three shrimp I got with the meal were large; however, the scallops were either invisible or nonexistent. When we asked the waitress how come the was no scallops in our pasta she acted like we were rude in pointing it out. If you expect courteous service and get the meal you ordered try somewhere else.
Now on my always go back list: I've been to this establishment a number of times with excellent food quality and service. The last visit along with the responsiveness of the management placed them on my always go back list. On my most recent visit, there was more than adequate wait staff and the food was delivered in a timely manner. When it arrived, it was well prepared and look appetizing. During our dinner the owner came by our table and checked on the quality of the food. We had the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer, the beef filet, elk with mashed potatoes, chicken breast, and hand cut rib eye steak ... all excellent. For dessert we had a chocolate cake and creme brulee ... perfect.
Certainly the place to go in Cody.
Now on my never again list: I've been to this establishment a number of times with mixed food quality and service. But the last visit along with the nonresponsiveness of the management placed them on my "Never Again List". On my more recent visit, there was inadequate wait staff and the food was very long in coming. When it did arrive, it was not hot and on a pasta dish there was hardly any sauce. We asked for more sauce which took nearly 15 minutes and it came back luke warm. No one from management stopped by to ask how thing were and the waitress was apologetic but had no control over the kitchen. I wrot a letter to management and in two month have not received any type of reply. My sentiments - good luck, eventually all your local traffic will abandon you!
