It's difficult to find good lamb in San Antonio, and their Lamb Shank is outstanding. The service was fine too, and I find it really hard to believe that any waitress would tell a customer what the previous poster wrote. He should have asked for the manager or owner. They all seem to be really nice people and I'm sure they wouldn't stand for that kind of thing.

I came to Turquoise Grill with high expectations especially after reading the previous reviews... however, I was VERY disappointed!
The food was sub par - meat tasted old - and the service was sickening. The waitress (an older Tukish lady) added a 20% gratuity on our bill for 2 adults and 2 kids (standard was 8 ppl). When asked, she replies "..you Arabian people never tip, Turkish people always tip" !!!!!! Even, though she never once smiled when serving us, I was going to tip her but after that ugly remark I dropped a penny and walked out. Very SAD!!

The food is excellent, the staff is courteous and professional, ambience Mediterranean. I have been there many times and never gotten sick.I am glad that it has moved to a location that is much more accessible.

I have Greek, Lebanese and Turkish friends and relatives that love this place. I have two cousins who own well-known eating establishments, one of them is famous and ships nation-wide, and they love it as well.

The mixed meze plate is worth the trip alone. The Iskender, Adana and Doner Kebab are exceptionally delicious. The latter being quite different from the gyro served in most of the Greek restaurants.

The rice pudding is enough for two (but I won't share) and the stuffed apricots with cream is a dessert that must be tried.
