Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: This is a poor excuse for a movie theater at any ticket price. My last 4 experiences have included problems with sound quality and volume that couldn't be addressed without finding someone to locate the manager.This of course means getting up and missing part of the film.I walked out twice and asked for a refund after being told that the problem couldn't be fixed. Most recently the movie shut off before the credits and the manager said that happens sometimes but assured us that we hadn't missed much. Quite honestly I've rarely had to deal with "quirks" of this nature at any other theaters and shouldn't have to anticipate having them at my neighborhood cinemas.A badly managed multiplex is a nightmare.

Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: Though local to us I still prefer taking in a movie here rather than any theater south ie. Branford, Milford, etc. What sets this theater apart is that the whole experience is pleasant. Meaning easy and conveinient parking, great service at the ticket counter and concession stand. Very reasonable prices for movies and the snacks. I love the large popcorn and large drink combo for $8. The theaters are a little smaller but clean and comfortable. What really sets it apart however, and the best reason to go is that all the patrons for the most part are polite, considerate and quiet when the movie is playing. That to me is priceless and reflects the class of the area. I know that I will not have some obnoxious person or misbehaved or out of control kids spoil the movie experience for me. The only thing that will do that is a really bad movie which is no fault of the theater. I recommend it to anyone who loves movies.

Movies: this theater is really great, just wish they had matinees all week instead of just weekends. it is so much nicer than branford. the prices are great and the ticket takers are really nice, something branford could be taught!!!! thanks westbrook marquee for being such a great theater.

User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThe best movie theater in that area (that I know of). Relatively cheap, nice seating (compared to other ones I've been to around here), and it's nearby the outlets. It's nice to have somewhere to hang out before the movie starts or after the movie for something else to do in one trip.

KNow whats great about this theater? FREE movies in teh summertime for kids. 10 AM on Tue and Wed. Who can beat that? Stadium seating is great. I thought it was clean... the bathroom too.

Great Theater, but Bring CASH.: A great theater, with off Exit 65, of I-95, behinds the Westbrook Factory Outlet stores Shopping Center.
Prices are fair, Consession stand service is relatively fast, however popcorn is not popped on the premmisis... it is brought in already popped in very large bags.
Credit Cards are NOT accepted here, so BRING CASH!!!
Theaters are well cooled, or Heated depending on the season, and all seats are comfortable, with well marked Exits.
There are 12 theaters here in all, offering a nice variety of movies to choose from, if you just want to show up and see a movie.Comments (1)

We can't wait to go back: The people were friendly, and kind. The theatre was clean and we love the stadium seating. We had a perfect view, and no-one's head was in the way. The movie became an experience. Our surroundings were nice and the seats were comfortable. No other theater I have been to compares to Marquee Cinemas. And I have been to theaters all over the world.

CT standards pretty low: For CT, this theater is a little above average. But it is nowhere near the theaters outside the CT area in major metropolitan areas. It tends to be dirty, the seats need repair, the bathrooms are often disgusting. All fairly normal for CT, but way below standard for other places in the world. Too bad we can't get a decent theater that's comfortable and clean:(

Wow, do I agree with you! We just moved here from California and we are shocked by the disgusting state of the movie theaters here. We thought we were moving to a wealthy area - we should have moved to New Jersey!

"You thought you were moving to a wealthy area" and you "should have moved to New Jersey". Wow! what a stupid to thing to say. You've came up with this "move to New Jersey" theory because of a movie theater that hires high school kids, pays them little money and no benefits. What do yo expect. That is the managemet of the theater who from down south or the midwest. I like the place. They used have fancy treats but nobody bought them. The reason you go to a movie: Current hits, comfortable seating w/ no heads in your way [stadium seating], and if it's to loud or not loud enough you can ask one of the kids to fix it and they will. These theaters have all of that, and I've never heard rude people yelling at the screen. Customers are respectful of other theater - goers. If you want wealthy, drive 5 minutes over to Old Saybrook and Essex. They are wealthy. -
