Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: I agree with the two previous reviews. I waited and finally drove in to see "The Dark Knight" there and had to leave based on the volume of the movie (deafening) and the awkwardness of watching a regular (non-IMAX) film there. It's like trying to watch a big, flat screen television with your face 3 inches from the screen. I will go back for the IMAX experience but the normal film format was a big disappointment.
Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: I agree with the one star review. I just saw Transformers 2 there with very high expectation. Unfortunately it was dissapointing. Not only do you have to look left to right to capture everything in the feature film but there is a wierd bulging "sound board" type of thing in the middle of the theater, which from the looks of it would have been the best seat in the house.
The curved dome projecting a standard feature film not designed for IMAX just does not work. Distortions everywhere, they actually managed to make Megan Fox look fat, what a travesty! Anything that has vertical objects will be shown on the screen as curved out.
Seats: STINK, I totally was uncomfortable! The seats are so low to the ground and there is no room to extend your legs at all. The stadium seating is so steep you feel like you could fall 20 feet from where you are seating. Which by the way if you have little kids, is a definite possibility.
The theater is poorly designed.
It's good for those flying and underwater presentations they have, but that's about it.
However! I loved the Air and Space Museum! that was great I had more fun with that than the actual movie! :D Go see that if anything. They have a full on F-14, A-10 Warthog, Intruder, and a host of historical airplanes.
Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: WARNING: Do not see a regular movie in this theater. it is a domed IMAX, not a regular shaped screen. Everything on the sides is distorted and cannot be seen without turning your head, left and right, the whole time. You'll spend extra money for nothing. The seat are not designed to stit through a 2 hour movie, and are quite uncomfortable. I had to see Star Trek again at a regular theater since I didn't really see it this time. Only specialy shot IMAX movies should be seen here.
