I had Mr. Jacobsen make me custom knife sheath for a custom knife, which works great and cost very little. I then had him make a Sai case, something you can't just find or have made, but sure enough for $20, I got one made just for my Sai, and fit to my hand. If you are in the military or police, you would be foolish not to take advantage of these services available locally to create of modify your tactical gear. I plan to have him make few more sheaths and a holster in the future. I never thought I could afford to commission custom gear. He is very fair and has good craftsmanship.
I could hardly believe my ears when I heard the recording hat this shops business phone had been disconnected and then the home phone too. I mean this is like the ultimate survival shop in our area; and if they are having this kind of economic difficulty...we have to ask ourselves just how bad has things gotten? Pretty bad...but not to despair. I got into my truck and went on over and found that sure enough they were still there and open as usual.
Doing what they have always done, with excellence, and great integrity in our community still. Turns out their decision to try the phone book advertising in every community around a sixty (60) mile radius of Muncie was/is a very bad decision and is NOT working as intended. It is the very lack of response for this expense that is causing the lack of funds to pay the phone book portion of their Bill.
Rest assured that they have in fact lost the business phone, and cards processing and are forced to do a Cash & Carry business at this point in time, but they are still there and doing what they do best, with excellence and are still well stocked, and Sewing as always.
This is one tough old Disabled Army Vietnam Veteran that just won't lay down and die regardless of how bad the economic times get. So if you go? You will find them open... Just accepting cash & carry only. these days.
I am from Anderson Area, and met a Guy by the name of Rick; and noticed He had lower roll bars air deflectors that snapped on and off and looked really good on His Harley. He had a pretty snazzy set of Patches sewn on them and He had been using them for some months and really liked the way they deflected air from blowing up His leg. I asked how much they cost Him, and how to find the place, and He gave me good Instructions to the shop; glad I asked, because it's a bit hard to find, and to get in and out of.
I am well satisfied, with the quality of Randall's Design and Sewing; although I think He under estimated the time it took to make these deflectors, and His Labor charge; but He was true to His word, and worked straight through and told me if anyone else asked Me what it would cost to get the type I had made by Him, to please tell them triple what I was being charged. They are truly custom; just like my bike, and are a "snap" to take on and off. I am very, VERY SATISFIED.
Just a word of Note: I had to have my bike at the shop for five hours, while He Measured, Marked, Cut and Sewed and then Custom Fitted the rig to the roll bar frames and made sure they fitted tightly. I am looking forward to tricking my mine out now the way Rick had done to His.
Now I am riding warmer in cooler weather and drier too; and they are washable or can go through the pressure wash, while on the bike.
I will be going back for my Leather and Patches sewing soon. And He told me if there was any adjustments or latent defect found He stands behind His Designs, Workmanship and Materials; and any adjustments would be free of further charges.
Oh Yes I am very very Satisfied, I know He lost money on this project and still as a Christian Businessman, He stuck to His word as His bond. And like other reviews I have read here; I am happy to say there is still things being made in the USA, and I am happy to be able to fully recommend this shop; and the family that operates it.
