I give Cindy and Marlo "5 STARS" but the FRONT desk 3 1/2 i thought they were pretty rude. The atmosphere was Wonderful. We walked in and went to the front desk off of the elevator and they're was a girl who just had no expression or anything and said hello (which didn't feel welcoming at all) then she was trying to get me the sheet that i had to fill out before i go up to get my massage and facial. The phone started ringing while i was waiting for her to get the paper then she goes and answers the phone and i had to wait for her to get off the phone for almost 5-8min because she started scheduling someones appt. (i thought was rude because i am here for my appt and in the place and she has no concerns about me and helps someone on the phone.) So whatever that was all about we go up stairs and was greeted by CINDY who was really sweet and gave me a wonderful 1hr. massage VERY SOFT SPOKEN! she then escorted me to Marlo where i got my facial. And she was very SWEET also made me feel very comfortable she even gave me the choice to go ahead and take my time from getting up due to the facial was so relaxing . As i entered out of the room (feeling great) she talked w/ me and offered some water and was very patient with me which i thought was really great because i was just so relaxed. Then of course right back down to the front desk to pay. Gosh again but different person now and she was just like WHATEVER LOOK on her face so i was just like no time to have any comments on that person because i just wanted to get out because i wasn't going to have any front desk NON WELCOMING GIRLS give me any problems so i tipped my great Massage and facial therapist and walked out happy WITH THEM but NOT THE FRONT DESK!!...THANK you chakra...satisfied

A close friend of mine bought a Chakra SalonSpa birthday gift certificate and I used it toward a hair cut and a massage last weekend. I had an incredibly pleasant experience at Chakra from the moment I was greeted by the front desk staff (Crysta?) and all the way through to getting escorted to the 3rd floor for a massage. The Spa is absolutely gorgeous with simple yet very elegant decorations and ambiance. I would not have imagined a serene place like this existed in the heart of San Francisco. What a treat! The massage was excellent and I truly enjoyed the entire experience. The therapist's name was Drea and she was professional and polite. I highly recommend Chakra SalonSpa if you are looking for a special place for hair styling and spa in downtown San Francisco. A fantastic gift idea too if you intend to treat someone special to something truly exceptional.

This is the worst spa in Union Square. The front desk staff are rude and the therapists unskilled. Save your time and money, go somewhere else.
