I took my daughter and was assigned Dr. Qamar Aslam M.D. during the visit she made me feel very uncomfortable with the questions that she asked. She asked personal questions about why I moved to Texas, why I was moving back. Why my insurance didn’t cover Texas. She made assumptions that my daughter wasn’t in school and continued to treat me as if I intentionally hurt my daughter. My daughter hurt herself after a skating accident and this wasn’t enough for her. I was an enemy from the moment that I stepped into the doctor’s office. After the mistreatment, she proceeded to get as much money out of me as she could. Later I learned at the front desk that I could have received the same services for less or even free. I would never step foot into this doctor’s office again because I felt more like an enemy and a dollar sign and the well being of my daughter was not a priority.
The doctors are great - Staff is terrible!!!!! After 3 or 4 visits, I had had my fill of these incompetent people and I am now taking my child to a much better pediatric office! The only reason I give them 2 stars is because I liked Dr. Mirza otherwise they would have gotten 0 stars!
The Dr. is fine. His staff are TERRIBLE and unprofessional. Twice they have lost the new patient paperwork, making me go home and get my copies (lucky i did that), and messing up my appointment. Speaking of appointments - forget same day. They have very limited appt choices which may be fine for stay at home moms, but not the rest of us.
The phone 50% of the time goes to voicemail. They take a loooong lunch and don't return on on time to reopen the office of phone.
Everytime I call for an appointment they act like I've never been there (can't find PW, can't find me in the "system", try to tell me the wrong kid's name...). Terribly HIPAA non compliant. Once they gave me the paperwork for another child (not mine).
The Dr. must not pay them much bc there is a new person every few months or so, and they blame the mistakes on either "a new person" or an "old person who left."
The patients are largely latino (and staff) so you would probably have a better experience with the staff if you are latino and speak spanish.
They need to get it together. Their problems make me never want to go back again. An I won't. 3 times and I'm done.
