We started with the pea puree shot. Who'd of thought. Fantastic. We went with the 4-course tasting menu. Good decision, must of been my wife's. There wasn't a item I didn't like. From the Garbanzo bean take on a Navy bean and ham soup, to the interesting wasabi encrusted Halibut. The lamb was better then what I had at the Eiffel Tower restaurant in Vegas. Try it you'll like it.
In the winter, the best place to be after a day of skiing is in an armchair in front of the fireplace at Samplings. The flights of wine are expertly chosen and the sommelier is also brilliant at choosing a wine that will match the flavors in your meal. I've celebrated all kinds of events here and the service is consistently elegant. Oftentimes, I just pop in at the bar for their idyllic grilled cheese and tomato soup. Their seared duck breast is capable of ending vegetarianism. And if they ever take the roasted shiitake mushrooms off the menu, I'll have words with the chef.
