User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsIn 2008 I paid Mooney to represent me in bankruptcy court. He told me he would file the day after I paid in full. He did not. I spent the next year chasing him around, trying to get my money back. He refused to return my phone calls, messages, and emails, and certified mail to him was returned as 'undeliverable.' I finally sued him in Manatee County Court and - representing myself - won a judgment for the entire sum I was seeking. See Manatee County Court case #2009-SC-1611. Despite the judgment, Mooney stonewalled my collection efforts - asking to pay a portion (due to 'cash flow problems"!!! - I'll put my 'cash flow' problems up against his any day!) but not even paying that, luring me out to his office with promises of a check but then standing me up repeatedly etc., etc. I have filed a Complaint against him with Florida Bar and will begin the collection process through the Court system. Learn from my mistake! Look elsewhere for competent and ETHICAL legal advice!

A friend of mine has been going through the same thing with this guy. He calls his office and cell phone but Mooney never returns his call. I wished I would have read this before my friend retained him maybe he could have avoided all this stress he's been under due to not being able to get a hold of him.
