Very good sushi...but go for the tasting menu. The chefs really challenge the norm and the results are fabulous. FYI, the location (strip mall) leaves a lot to be desired, but the decor inside is fine and the food makes it all worth it.
Totally epic!: The "Early Autumn" kaiseki dinner did not disappoint. Dishes like the grilled fish wrapped in cedar paper are pitch perfect, and expectedly presented in spectacular fashion. And the wait staff was equally superb. Truly memorable!
Amazing sushi experience: We had an amazing sushi experience at Kaygetsu. You would not think about having the best sushi with the best decor/atmosphere and service in a sushi restaurant located in Sharon Heights, yet this is THE place. Rated 27 on Zagat, Kaygetsu has amazing sushi and great Japanese dishes. We had as appetizers the Kaiso salad three kinds of seaweed, watercress, mizuna, plum dressing and the Yasai tempura seasonal vegetables, tempura batter; both dishes are original and tasty. The decor is sophisticated, cozy and quiet. Would recommend it for a sushi date. Reservations are highly highly recommended.
