Eat at Joe's Rocks!!!!
This is the best BBQ I have ever eaten. I have driven drive all over the country trying different BBQ's, and I have to say these guys have some of the best.
Joe is cool and Rose is awesome. I would have to say to BBQ fanatics this is what most would call Texas style. Nice smoky mesquite flavor, with sauce served on the side.
The food is excellent and so is the service. They have good music playing, and sometimes on the weekend they have live music. Oh yeah, they have the coldest beer in town!
The decor is neat, and they have the cleanest restrooms anywhere on Hwy 93. Put this on your to-do list, just don't go there on a Wednesday, because they are closed that day. Make sure to tell them Scooter sent ya!
Keep up the good work you guys!
This place is horrible. The restaurant is fairly dirty and poorly maintained and the service was almost non-existent. The guy who seems to run it was rude and short with his customers and the lady was hardly inviting.
The food was sub-par for BBQ. I've had better ribs at Chilis. The fries were soggy, the bread rolls were stale, and the potatoes were tasteless.
Eat at joes is an easy pass for any traveler, there are much better places to stop and grab food off highway 93. Joes just seems like a typical highway trap just trying to take advantage of hungry travelers by offering cheap, sub par, tasteless food.
Sorry Joes, 1 star.
Yes DO Eat at Joe's: The BEST mesquite smoked barbeque in all the realm. Definitely worth the side trip if you are ever in NW Arizona

It is painfully obvious this person has never actually been to this establishment. The building and it's interior are in excellent shape due to a complete remodel three years ago when it was opened. The floors are shiny and waxed daily. The kitchen is packed with new stainless steel, and the establishment consistently maintains an excellent rating with the health dept. Also notice the use of the word seems. Either you know who is running it or you don't. It is impossible to be in this restaurant and not know who Joe is, and that it is his place he is running. As for the lady, you won't find a nicer more gracious host anywhere. If you eat ribs at that "other" place, then you know nothing of honest authentic barbecue. Also if you took real potatoes, mashed them with lots of bacon, fried onions, butter and salt, there would be no way you could find them bland. Again the food is far from cheap. All meats and ingredients used are top of the line, and the prices also reflect this. There certainly is cheap food on Hwy 93, and you won't have to look far for it, and there you will find the soggy fries and stale bread. Sorry "Cletus" I have to call shenanigans on this poorly thought out, pathetic attempt to write a bad review.
