nightclub vs brunch: So I've got completely different ratings for nightclub vs. brunch.
Nightclub activity is nothing to write home about. I don't particularly like to shimmy in cramped confines. skirting low tables and sofas. It mixes up my metaphors. Plus the DJs most nights are playing unremarkable house. Plus it can take forever to get a drink at the bar.
So brunch on Sundays is an entirely different scenario. I got there early, around noon, and was heartened not to see a mob scene as is the usual schtick at other brunch places that are more on the scrubby, dingy side. Levende is really nice during the day and the setup there makes much more sense to me as an eating place than a dancing place. And the brunch was not only affordable but quite scrumptious. I absolutely adored my bloody Mary!
Yeah, so skip the attitude and weirdness of the night here and come for the brunch instead!
awesome food: Hi there,
The food here is really awesome. The fusion is good, and the place rocks.
Hip and Lovely place for Wine, Food, or Watching: We just stopped in here for wine before heading to a late dinner. Great nibbles at the bar, good wine selection. Elegant and interesting. Can't wait to go back to eat.

I still seriously dig the space and bring friends for brunch with the requisite Mimosas and Bloody Marys...but I sometimes feel badly for the ignored DJ plying his tunes - and seriously, playing football on the TV does not add to my illusion of a chi-chi, hip lounge place ;-)
