I went here once for Mother's Day and the food came out cold!!!!! I kid you not. We were one of the first people in there and they couldn't get it right. The second time I went it was superb though, but that could be because I went with someone that worked there. Who knows. Regardless even the worst restaurant doesn't have food come to the table cold. Very sad I must say. Please make sure that never happens again.

I never wrote a review for this restaurant but feel compelled to as I have been there many times and never never disappointed. This is a welcoming place and is terrific authentic italian food. Great wine list, especially the Argentinian and Italian wines. One hint when you is that both owners are almost always there and their families are also there working. Terrific food. When you walk in ask Dominick, usually at the door, for what he would recommend and you will never be disappointed. Also you will notice if you go several times that you will see many of the same faces. For people to regularly go to a restaurant tells you something of the quality. Enjoy

Yes, I agree with Pat. I've been there numerous times over the years and always get a great meal - they are very generous on the portions - lots of creative dishes - meats are cooked to perfection (must try their steaks!!!), plus the pasta, chicken is fantastico! Another note, if you like deserts, you must leave room for their "home-made" cakes, pies, canolis made by owners wife...top-notch delectibles that go together great with their cappucinos! I am a sweet-tooth in & out, so I try to leave room for desert...though it is hard since their apps (especially fried calamari, salads, specials are glorious!) I just can't say enough about this place, definitely my favorite restaurant, nice atomosphere inside, friendly & accomodating staff. Location is easily accessible from surrounding towns like Trumbull, Fairfield, etc. - I95, Route 25, Merritt 15 to Rte 25/I95. I used to live in Ffld and now drive there from Trumbull. THANK YOU VIALE'S FOR BEING THE BEST AT ITALIAN, AMERICAN CUISINE WITH THAT PERSONAL, CREATIVE TOUCH & ALL YOUR FRIENDLY STAFF!
