About:Chef Karen Melanie, who studied at the French Culinary Institute, has relocated her New York Bistro to the White Mountains, and has a unique talent for fine dining preparation. The appetizers are wonderful - try a French Onion and Bacon Tart with flaky pastry, or caramelized onions and bacon with a touch of savory custard. You may even want to try one of the many popular Entrees, such as; New Zealand Baby Lamb Chops, home made Ravioli's, or Atlantic Salmon to name but a few. Of course, don't forget dessert for that sweet tooth! All desserts are home made; Pumpkin Creme Carmel, Banana Walnut Cheesecake and her famous Profiterole. The wine list is thoughtfully chosen and features wines from around the world.

    haven't stayed overnight at the Ammonoosuc Inn, but I have enjoyed several delicious meals at their restaurant Melanie's Bistro.I had been given a tour of the rooms. I thought it would be hard to decide which one I'd like to stay in, as they each have a unique charm and attractiveness. The food was marvelous, the owners friendly and very accommodating, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Inn or either of its restaurants to anyone.

    Fantastic Food: Finally a restaurtant unlike the others in the area. You need to try this Bistro.
