a pleasant surprise!: I booked roe restaurant out of convenience (since we stayed across the street) and I've been into japanese fusion tapas lately.

We went in a group of six and I felt a bit apprehensive at first since the place look empty for saturday night. We start the appetizers with ceviche (yum!), spicy tuna & crab roll (divine!), Kobe beff grilled (delicious!), and warm mushroom salad (excellent!). The main entrees don't dissappoint either, the garlic noodles are very tasty, the roe roll (though not as divine as the spicy tuna & crab roll) is not bad either, and the leek soup is just wonderful. My only complaint is my lychee martini (should never ordered that since it's not on the menu). The mix is so bad that I only zip it twice. However, some ohter cocktails that my friends order seem fine (thought not great). Maybe should stick to sapporo or wine :).

Great for parties: I went to a private party here the other day and it was a lot of fun. Great atmosphere, good snacks, etc.

Very cool hip-hop dancing: Pretty big place with different styles of music (techno, hip-hop) for every taste. They had amazing hip-hop dancing on the second floor... cool vibe and really really good DJ! $30 entrance fee.
