I am so pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. I am a huge sushi fan and Moshi Moshi will not disappoint. Everything I've tried was excellent. I only wish I knew about it earlier instead of wasting my time in other local mediocre sushi restaurants. Service is great, small clean seating area, large menu variety and reasonable prices.
I LOVE this place. Who would've known of this tiny place, which is almost hidden among all the other shops and restaurant. The place is small, but cozy (probably seats around 10 people- excluding the sushi bar). They put in a lot of effort in their food and you can definitely tell. Everything on the menu is delicious and very original. You will not be disappointed at all. I know some people out there may be annoyed by me saying this, but the price is an issue to me. I'm always hesitant to try something new there because of the price they put on it. Yes, I know that they're super fresh, so I shouldn't complain and yes, I know it's a lot of work to prepare the dish. But some of the item in the menu, I will not pick it because of how much it costs, though they look tempting.
Hidden Gem: Moshi Moshi serves the freshest sushi this side of downtown Chicago. It is my third favorite in Chicago, behind Mirai Sushi and Bob Sans. The lunch specials are great, for only $9.99 you can have a chicken teryaki boxed lunch (not to be confused with the $6.95 special on the window) with Miso soup, 3 pieces of california roll, 3 pieces of tempura (1 shrimp and 2 vegatable, a salad, and the chicken teryaki which is accompanied by the white rice. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. Whenever I am in town I try to stop by, truely a local gem.
