User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBom Bon Cafe- the jewel of Chicago!: I think Bom Bon Cafe is a jewel among Chicago lunch time restaurants. First of all, the food is delicious. Sandwiches with names previously unknown in Chicago are sumptuously prepared using clever condiments on fresh baked breads. I had a corn soup last week that was so good I probably embarrassed myself eating it. The staff was sweet and helpful (waitress offered me a doggy bag for the roll that I could not eat). Lastly, it's almost impossible to enter without ogling the bakery selection. Each cookie, cake and tart is a delicacy that I can only assume tastes as good as it looks. Today I pick up a Tres Leche cake for a family get together. If you've never tried one, it could be the world's most delicious confection. At last count, Bombon offers NINE flavors. One more thing- while you're waiting for your order, check out the decorations. The place is so cheerful, your mood ring will turn dark blue instantly. Don't miss Bom Bon Cafe!
