The best BBQ place around!! Great prices and the best bbq. Great place to take the whole family and just have fun and eat a lot. Ribs, pulled pork, and burgers are great. Defiantly going back.
Great ribs! If you love ribs, this is the local place to go. We had the pork ribs but the beef ribs looked great too. We've already recommended this place to friends and they loved it too. Didn't think that the prices were all that high for the amount of food that you get. The staff couldn't be friendlier and the owners are the greatest coming over to make sure everything was alright. They even talked us into sharing a dessert. Believe me it was worth it. Three of us shared one dessert, that's how big it was. Try this nice local place and you won't be sorry.
I've been going to Hot Rod's for about a year now.
The good: As a hot rod lover, the decor suited me just right. Headers on the wall, pinstriping behind the bar, even a Holley sticker on the napkin holder. The new menus are works of art. They are done up like a hot rod magazine and you can tell they put a TON of time and effort into them. The pulled pork sandwhich is phenomenal, and their BBQ sauce is just right.
The bad: Unfortunately, Hot Rods prices have gone up alot in the past year. I used to be able to get a pulled pork sandwhich lunch special (pulled pork sandwhich with 1 side) for $6.99, but the last time I went in to order the sandwhich with a side of sweet potato fries, the price was $10.99. By the time you get a drink and leave a tip, you're dropping $16 on a sandwhich for lunch. That's just absurd. The last time I was in there, Mardi Gras decorations were being hung and placed everywhere (in mid December), which was kind of weird to me. I hope they aren't trying to re-do the theme because that would kill the original vibe of the place.
Overall, the price increase has made me go there only once in a blue moon. I would be a regular customer far more often if the prices were tamed a bit.
