I took my Dodge Dakota to another shop on Rufe Snow because I needed a break job. I was quoted over $600. to replace the pads, calibers and rotors. I called up Bill's and he said that these trucks rarely need calibers. I took it in. He took a look at it, and said the calibers where fine, but I did need a new sepentine belt. He did the break job, as well as the belt for $220. These people are great, and trustworthy. A rare thing in this industry.

Our AC compressor had a nasty death on the way home from out of town. We didn't have a local shop yet for work since we had just gone out of warranty, driving up to Bill's was encouraging because there were a lot of cars there, an indicator that they stay very busy for a good reason. For about half of what another local shop had quoted, the technicians replaced the AC compressor plus a lot of other work, cleaning out the lines, installing a filter, etc. The filter did its job, got clogged, and the freon stopped flowing like it should. They replaced the filter/recharged the system at no extra cost to me, even after I had offered to pay for the time and the freon. He could have easily charged me 2.5 times what he did, replacing all the AC parts, but he was very conscious of the cost and the impact on my wallet.

They were extremely courteous and we've used them again since to diagnose a tricky leaky evap system. I've already recommended him to friends and recommend Bill's Half Price Auto Repair to you.

Extremely helpful.

The dealership told me the valve body on my fiance's 96 neon had gone bad. We had been noticing some squeaking when shifting, but the car drove fine, so we took it to Bill's.

The owner helped us peronally: ran the same diagnostic tests as the dealership, drove the car with us in it so we could point out the noises, and he patiently explained to us in simple language the problems that those noises might be caused by.

In the end, he found nothing wrong with the car that needed fixing and did not charge us for the forty-five minutes he spent inspecting our car and talking with us.
