| About: | This is not just your ordinary Asian buffet. The restaurant is beautiful, and includes an actual rock pond with coy swimming in it. Around each bend is a station that represents a different country in Asia. There's fresh sushi, Mongolian BBQ, the American favorites section, Chinese specialties, and exotic victuals for those who like to live on the edge. The Emperor's Palace is huge, so on the first trip, ask for a tour guide, or at least come early enough to navigate before digging in. After the main course, check out the desert counter, complete with a chocolate fountain! For the price, there's no better way to eat. - Cathryn D. Blue |

Over the last few years, I have eaten at this place a handful of times. I guess that when you first come to this place, the entrance is impressive. You walk in the door and the place is cavernous. How is that for setting expectations?
You sit down for dinner and you eat like there is not tomorrow and it's fine because it is your first time there. Subsequent trips will prove that the food is not outstanding at all...at most it is mediocre. Lots of people are impressed with chocolate fountains, but while I was there, kids and even adults were putting their fingers into the chocolate, licking their fingers and putting their fingers back into the chocolate.
I got sick after the last few times I went. Later I learned others in our party also got sick after eating there. Pans, utensils and the plates were not clean to the touch. The cooks behind the counter scowled at us when we were helping ourselves at some of the counters. Sushi was not put out consistently. There were waits of up to half an hour before the sushi was replenished.
PROS-- Initial impression -- massive and impressive entrance. Good for large groups.
CONS-- We got charged automatically on the tip for our large group. Pricey for the quality of food....I guess it is the way to pay for the upkeep of the koi pond and the gas used at the entrance.
Exactly the prices are extremely too high and the quality of the food is not all that great!!!
I thought the price was way too high and I couldn't find very much that was to my liking. The Mongolian grill was the highlight. They let you pick out your veggies, meat and seasoning and that was excellent. But that alone isn't worth the money.
