great place! my kids love going there too. The food is good, and there is ALOT of it, we always take some home. The price is resonable. My husband and I got the couples dinner, steak and shrimp for 2 includes salad, shrimp app, main cource with veggies, dessert and a glass of wine all for about $50. We will go again soon!

Preface: I have a hard time giving 5 stars to anything. I have been to a number of japanese steakhouses and this is easily in the top half of my list. I would say the food is above average, the grilling tricks and such are above average and the sushi is OK. The thing that makes this place better than most is the atmosphere. Most Japanese steak places don't put much into the ambiance or decoration. This place overloads and makes it worth the while. Not to mention, the best way to characterize a Japanese steakhouse experience is by how full your table was. The few times we've been here, the table has been full each time. And judging by the expressions on others faces, they were having as much fun as I was.

Drinks are a little pricey, but then again, it is Westport. Worth the visit.

I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee sushi, I cannot stretch that enought and you could just get anything here at Ichiban. The atmostphere is great, the staff are increadibly nice and helpful, people just come and have a great time. I come here almost every other week and still crave for more. Too bad I don't live close by, but I am telling you, this is a great place for anyone who either start eating sushi or have been eaten for a while. It's really worth it!!!
