   I disagree with the negative review posted here. I think the staff are great at this dentist. They are always polite and helpful towards my family and even sent me a card when my second daughter was born. Dr. Kao is also wonderful with the girls and is always professional

   I took my 7yrs old son to Dr. Charles Kao DDS because of the review that the office received on yahoo local and it was closer to my home and his previous dentist was too far(Palo Alto). It wasn't what I expected it to be. The dentist was informative and nice, but the dental assistants were rude. I felt as if the dental assistants were rushing and one of them didn't do a great job cleaning my son's teeth. My son enjoys going to the dentist and after the visit he wanted to go back to his previous dentist because the staff were nicer at his previous dentist. Like the dentist, but don't like his staff.

   I cannot say enough about how much I love this dentist, his office, and everyone who works there! We were in a very bad situation with my 3 year old son who has severe Gerd and acid reflux. Due to his condition, his teeth were in terrible shape. Doctor Kao was so kind to us and our son. He really took his time to make our whole family feel comfrortable. This was the fourth place that we went to and the difference in quality and kindness was startling. I know our son really appreciated the time the dentist took to get to know him. The dentist's use of puppets, videos, and the like really put our son at ease. Before going to Dr. Koa, we sent out a mass email to all our friends in the area. Out of hundreds of inquiries, his was the name that most often came up as best children's dentist to go to in the area.
