I recently went there for a birthday party, sadly to say i was NOT impressed! waaaayyyy too expensive for the amount of food that was served. I ordered the california fried shrimp, it came with corn and potatoes....i thought i was going to get like a dozen shrimp and i when i got my plate i was very dissapointed..i got 5 shrimp!! and they were a little bigger than popcorn shrimp all this for 20 bucks!!!! no thank you!! if i knew we were all gonna pay this much we would've gone to red lobster and it STILL would've been cheaper!!! the service wasn't great to begin with, it took 30minutes to get our checks...i wouldnt recoment this restaurant to anyone unless they are willing to pay 20bucks for 5 shrimp and a spoonful of corn??
Expectations not met.: While the interior of Biermann's is nicely cozy/kitchy, I was under the impression that this restaurant was more of an "authentic" German establishment in food and atmosphere. I was sorely disappointed by the classic rock playing overhead (though I do like Jimi Hendrix!), the frozen peas on the salad bar, and the canned green beans served with my fish (for a price of $20!). Understandably, the waitress and waiter were busy with large parties, but they forgot to take our order, bring any silverware (had to physically approach them twice since they never gave us eye contact) and it took more than 30 minutes to get a glass of wine. Since I waited tables years ago and know how tough it can be, I forgive the serving problems, but not the quality of the food for the price charged. What can I say? My expectations of an oompah band or at least short pants on the waiter were not fulfilled, I hope your expectations are met if/when you visit Biermann's.
