We recently ate here around 6pm on a Saturday night. It was horrible. The mashed potatoes were OLD and had been watered down several times and tasted scorched. The bones inside the chicken were black. The pork chops were gray/brown and all the flavor was completely gone from them. The only sides that were even decent enough to eat were the corn (from a can) and the butter beans although they had been reheated so many times they were pretty much mush. The salad bar was out of nearly everything and wiht the state of the hot buffett it was a little frightening to know what could be lurking in a recycled salad bar. The desserts were food service frozen cobblers in aluminum foil pans. The woman (yep, Dixie) wasn't very friendly or cheerful. Never going back - there is a Sonic up by the highway and at least you know exactly what to expect when you pull in there. Up the road a couple of miles in Paola there are more choices and friendlier service - better food.

We have eaten at this restaurant on and off over the last three years. One of the most irritating things is when you have more than 2 or 3 people, they bring the food out in stages. Last night, my son and I got ours. 5 minutes later, my wife and two of our grandkids got theirs and about ten minutes later, the last two meals were brought out. The first meals brought out were cold by the time the rest arrived. My wife's brown gravy was so thick and cold, it looked like apple butter. When we told the lady at the register (owner?) about it, she did not aplogize, she just said she would have her husband talk to the cooks. It cost $45 and we were very unhappy and will not go back. She then had the nerve to say, "Have a good evening!"
