Hay - maybe the new ownership willhelp. I just read in the paper that Mr. Maxwell re-purchased this store along with one in Taylor. Anyway - I would take him at his word as he use to be mayor of RR. He was straight shooting always there. The old OWNERS sucked - BAD BAD BAD I WROTE several bad remarks of them before. I am now making my fitst contact with the new dealer. I will let you know what happens on this one.
I purchased a brand new dodge journey 2/2009; there a few tears on the leather but the dealership assurred me they would repair before I took the vehicle, mind you i have a 14hour round trip. After taking the car home on the second day the putty they put on the seat came off and the tears were visible. they had not fixed anything, just covered it up knowing that it wouldn't be reasonable to return for the repairs. Then I was told by their new sales manager it was probably a manufactures defect, so I took it in and the dealership here stated it wasn't. I called Scott back and informed him it wasn't a defect, which he probably already new and gave him the estimate for the tears. He immediately told me they would not pay for it to get fixed. I've been trying to get this resolved since February 2009 w/no luck, we are no in September. Do not purchase a vehcile from these guys they do not have good service and don't call you back. Another thing the vehicle had recalls on it and instead of servicing the vehicle before I took it they did nothing, they didn't even inform me, I only found out after I took it for an oil change to the dealership down here. It was 3 major issues, one was the alignment, very dangerous for a one way 7hour drive, the other was the shifter, and the third was that the computer was over heating, which could have caused me an accident. Buyer BEWARE, go somewhere else
I recently bought a used vehicle from this place of thieves and liars. The vehicle had hail damage; I was aware and was able to get a good price due to the fact. I also had requested as part of the sell to get the tires replaced due to excessive wear and road hazard damage but they never did. They kept on telling me that they would replace the tires and to bring the vehicle in, but when I would bring the vehicle in to do so they would give me some lame excuse on how awesome my bald tires are and that it was ok that they had nails and glass in them, the road hazard damage they sold it to me with. They said just wait 30 days so that they can lose air and you can claim it on the really expensive road hazard warranty they try to get you to buy. I asked them isn't it illegal to sell me a vehicle with tires that do not meet the specifications for the vehicle inspections not to mention the nails and glass. They told me that there shop inspected them and saw nothing wrong with them at all. I guess they didn't see that the tread was so low that the tires were wearing through the tread wear bar and not to mention the glass and nails that were inbeded in the tires. All I had to say to them is wow really and you wonder why Dodge went bankrupt and your job is on the brink of extinction. Maxwell Dodge must have kept the sleaziest slime ball employees ever when they did the job cuts. I say this because I had dealt with quite a few employees from this dealership. All of them lied straight to my face, and and practically stated that they did not care that they are selling a vehicle with illegal tires on it, and were unwilling to fix it. They told me that if I really wanted them to fix it then I could pay for it. Makes you wonder what other shady things they are doing and getting away with that we don't know about. Is it things that could cost the buyer dearly or be very expensive to fix, all because Maxwell Dodge wants to cut corners and screw over the customer to get more money out of you?
