The service is great here, and friendlier than many of the other Starbucks in El Paso. The brewed coffee and Cafe Americano are decent. Personally I refuse to pay more than two bucks for anything there, so I never get the cold or blended concoctions. The pastries are fine snacks, but not fresh-baked goods. Granted, Starbucks is a corporate cesspool, but the independent coffee houses (like the one across the street) truly have superburnt coffee. The biggest drawback: the often annoying easy listening music selection that Starbucks pipes in...but its generally a good place to meet, hang out, or study.
Charbucks burns coffee beans, adds too much sugar to everything and the so-called "baristas" are not really baristas at all because the espresso machine is actually a super automatic. Expensive, fashionable and ultimately disappointing. I'll get my large coffee across the street at McDonald's, thank you.
Chocolate + Caffiene = Heaven: What can I say? As a coffee drinker, I am very picky about my coffee. I've had some very disgusting coffee in my time. Everytime I go to Starbuck's I am always satisfied. Their mochas are awesome. Enough said. I had an iced mocha today and it was heavenly. It was complete with whipped cream. Mmm. I always get a mocha when I get Starbuck's, because they are so good. I will try other beverages as well later on, but I just had to comment on the mochas since that is my Starbuck's drink of choice.
