Just picked up my miniature dachshund after four days of boarding and was told there's a mandatory charge of $29 and change for a bath they must give the dog BEFORE I TAKE HIM HOME! That's right. An absolutely unneeded service. I wish I'd read CitySearch before taking him there.
When asked why the mandatory bath, the office manager, Leila McIntosh, explained that customers complain when their dogs go home dirty. Obvious solution: Make a bath a customer option. Her answer: That's not our policy (sounds like the US Postal Service, right?)
It takes me five minutes and less than a gallon of water to wash my dog. This is clearly an attempt to rip off their customers. Avoid, avoid, avoid. If they would do this sort of thing for a buck, who knows what they would stint on when it comes to your pet's care.
This place is the worst specifically CARMEN T. Do not let this liar touch your dog. She SAYS she does what you pay for but in fact she doesn't. I paid for a bath which includes her ears but I was concerned about her ears and asked to be called if further testing was needed as they were irritated. Carmen said they were just dirty but I took her to another vet today to have a 2nd opinion and she has an ear infection.
Carmen was rude and told me that it's common sense to simply clean your dogs ears weekly. DUH! I treat my dogs like babies and I pay to have them bathed by a groomed WEEKLY so don't tell me how to care for my dog when I do!
I actually had my dog at this same vet the week before to get soayed and the week before that to have a bath so how the hell is she going to accuse me of not cleaning my dog when I just gave them $1000.
She said it was dirt and nothing more but I didn't buy it so I took her today to Pet Parade and not only does she have an ear infection they also didn't FULLY remove her stitches.
I come from a pet loving family and reused my new baby 6 months ago. I love her and will not do her any injustice! I am going straight to Tallahassee on this one.
They saved my dog's life last night. I couldn't be more grateful.
Thanks to a very rapid response from the staff and the office's extended weekday hours I still have my little friend with me. I don't know where I would be with out them.
