Definitely not one of the better restaurants in town if you include price into the mix. The food was halfway decent and id have given it around a 3 star if standing on food alone, but their price to portion ratio was just horrid. If not for the bread/oil on the table(which was also sadly the best tasting part of our meal)we would have had to go home and have a snack to fill up. To give any reader an idea of portions I ordered the cannoli's which I believe was around $13 and received 2 of them that were the size of microwave burritos. All together with 2 appetizers our lunch cost us $60.
So again taking into acount the pricing with the fact that the food was pretty average(not much better then my microwave Michelina's meals to be honest)its hard to recommend this place. If your in Levis Commons and want a fine dining experience id highly recommend Tea Tree over Biaggis unless you have a seriously bad craving for Italian.
We love Biaggi's. The food is constantly good, the prices are fair, the wait staff are well trained, and seating is comfortable. I can't say we never had issues with service or food but we eat at Biaggi's a lot and I would say 99% of the time it has been an enjoyable experience. It is a great place to take visitors b/c the atmosphere is trendy and comfortable and the things that count in a good restrauant exist at Biaggi's. I would actually give it a 4 1/2*
From the day this place opened, it was nothing short of a rousing success â and for all the right reasons.
First, decor. It's a wonderfully warm and inviting atmosphere. Even though the dining room is ultra large and wide open, there is a certain degree of intimacy. Whether you have a nice wide booth or a table in the middle of the dining room, you can appreciate the ambiance.
If you have to wait, the cozy little bar off the side of the foyer is always a welcome place. Friendly waitstaff and an equally friendly upscale crowd.
The food is simply incredible. For a chain â well, it's a "select" chain â Biaggi's is a 10 on a 10-scale. Everything is prepared, per order. The choices are numerous, and frankly, you can't go wrong with any of them.
Start with any of their exceptional appetizers. A personal favorite is the carpaccio, paper thin raw tenderloin, marinated in a vinegarette, and served with a mix of special green, like arugula, topped with freshly grated parmesean cheese. This is one of the only places in town that even attempts it, and you will fall in love with the flavor and presentation.
For salads, try the Caesar. It's well done and true to the original recipe.
Every single entree is worth consideration. Seafood, chicken, veal ... all preparation is excellent. And don't worry about pushing back from the table hungry. That doesn't happen here. The portions are more than ample. Each night they have feature entree items. Be sure to review these before ordering from the extensive menu.
And that brings up another point. Usually, an extensive menu is the kiss of death, solely because the kitchen tries to do too many things and does nothing well. This is not the case here. The recipes are followed to the letter, everything is prepared per-order, and we could not find one objectionable item on the whole menu.
Reservations are a must, and here's another kudo for Biaggi's. As busy as they are, they are fairly faithful about honoring reservation times. The wait is generally minimal if you call ahead.
The one downside is the waitstaff. If you get a good waiter, it only enhances your experience. If you don't luck-out and get someone less experienced, it can ruin your day (or night).
Oh yes, one last thing. Price. Biaggi's is a tremendous value for the dollar. It's not dirt cheap, but it definitely is not overpriced. In fact, it's one of the best values in the region.
