the best china buffet in south lincoln
Oh my gosh! I have never been to a buffet where when the food is out and not replaced! Jade Rivers waits until all the food is gone before they replace it, and this is even when its been sitting there forever. And when the food is gone they don't replace it right away. What I have notice them doing is they check to see who is eating than they bring out the cheap stuff that fills you easily and wait when you are about to leave to bring out a couple of crab legs! Never in my life have I seen this at any buffet! They charged about 12-13dollars a person for dinner. And do not provide all the food! I inquire about getting some money back for not having any crab even thou I ask the waiter 5 times to tell the kitchen to bring some out! And the owner said no and brought out 3 legs! Can you believe this? This is not the place to go! And this was not my 1st time there. I have been going there for 2yrs now. It was fine with old management but the new ones *Boo!* I 100% do not recommend Jade Rivers! Over price with poor food!
Food is very good, especially their Indian (pepper) style chicken. Very spicy. However I was very upset with the fact that I had purchased a $20 gift certificate in late November 2007 (Christmas present for my wife). Today (Oct 10th, 2008) my wife tried to use the gift certificate and she was told that it couldn't be honored. Seems their was a "manager change" in March of 2008 and that they didn't honor previous certificates. I have worked in the food business for a number of years and know how to calmly approach the situation with managers. Little good it did me. I never before have been so frustrated with a manager of any kind. Can you spell STUBBORN, and unprofessional. Don't waste your money there. Go to "House of Hunan" near 56th and HWY 2. Vincent always treats the costumer right. -from Dustin Wardyn
