User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsA friend I was visiting brought me here and I love this place. I got the ultimate crab platter, which I still can't believe how good and cheap it was compared to where I live, which is $30 or more for a pound. Here they gave you snow, king, and dungeness crab. OMG! Was I in heaven. If I lived here I would eat a platter everyday. Haha. I also tried some of the local foods my friend got....gumbo, seafood platter with catfish, shrimp, and softshell crab. They were all pretty good. Very tasty. Can't wait to come in for a visit again hopefully soon.

I love Cate Street. Their food is awesome. I love their Ultimate Crab Platter and so many of their sushi rolls......Cate Street Roll, Dragon, CJ, and Cajun to name a few. The staff is very nice and friendly too. The nice cute bartender reccommended this new wine they got in and I really like it. I think it's called Wente or something. Idk. Ask her. You have to try it next time you go there.

Thought I'd try Cate Street Seafood, in part because of positive reviews here.
We were there an hour before we were served. That's way too long.
The food was not good. We ordered two different entrees plus sushi, that's three dishes - all bad. The one small piece of bread with my dinner was stale.
The bill was too expensive, even if I pretend the food wasn't bad. And they charged us 95 cents for a condiment that we didn't ask for and didn't eat which came with the sushi. Since when are condiments charged separately?? I thought it was extremely tasteless and greedy on their part. Like they're trying to squeeze out every penny they can get me to part with.
Oh, the ladies bathroom wasn't clean, and the handicap stall was out of order.
It was a fairly expensive lesson, but I won't be back. I would love to find a good restaurant in Tangipahoa parish. This isn't it.
