User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsOur van broke down in Nov., 08. and had to be towed in. Precision Transmission has a sign out front that says, Free towing with repairs We HAD to pay for the towing even though they did the repairs. After a few days we were told repairs were made and we were good to go, any problems call and come back. Within 2 weeks we broke down again, on Thanksgiving Day on the Interstate in Miss. We called Keith's towing and went back again to Precision Transmission for repairs under their, so called warranty. This time it took longer for repairs because the mechanic said he was the only person there to do repairs. We tried calling the owner but was told he wasn't there, but in his other place in McComb, Miss. We called there and was told he was on his way back to Covington. We called after 3 hrs and they said he hadn't come in yet, but they would tell him. We have yet to hear from him. After these repairs were made, we broke down again,in Jan., 09, coming home from my husband's sisters' FUNERAL, same sounding problems again, engine racing, making a loud noise, couldn't steer while loosing power. The next day my husband goes to the shop and wanted to talk to the owner. Couldn't get him on the phone. The mechanic said he didn't know what the problem could be, possibly this that or the other. At this point my husband thanked him and called Keith's towing and had our van towed to Rainbow Chrysler. They said it was poor workmanship, with HAND tighteded bolts among the problems. We asked if we could take pictures and they said yes.
We haven't heard from the owner as of yet. ( He also has a place in McComb, Miss. ) We have taken him to court and a judgment has been filed. To date -no contact from him or reimbursement for towing and other charges.
BEWARE - we were told, we are not the first or second party to have this problem with this company.
We thought it was a respectable establishment that stood behind their warranties and workmanship, but we have found out the hard way , C heck out the BBB first.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI highly recommend using Precision Transmission for all transmission needs. I had went to a well known name chain and they had told me it would be $ 3,173. 64 to rebuild my tranny. I got a second opinion at Precision Transmission. Come to find out that I had only needed to change a few things. I walked out only paying $ 732.00, and my car works better than it did before. When it is time to have it rebuilt I will definatley remember the honesty that I recieved from Brett the owner. The staff was also helpful and someone was always there to answer my questions. Thanks guys..

I have never experience any thing like this in my life it makes you wonder how did they get there business licenses I`m goin to tell you what they done to me first they towed my suburnan to there shop and they told me over the phone that they were goin to open my transmission and tell me what was wrong at a charge of $355 it turn from them looking at and tell me what was wrong to they fixed my vechicle without my permission they didn`t give me the option to say rather or not i wanted them to do the repairs on my truck instead they fixed my truck in one day and charged me $2000 dollar and i haven`t came to the worst part they were driven my truck truck after work hours while i made payment to them and all of a sudden they closed there shop without noticification and no new location they took my truck and haven`t contacted me about the where about of my truck and i have pay them my money and i have no clue where there or where my truck is at i have had alot of sleepless nites worrying about what could have possible happen to my truck or will i ever see my truck again I ADVISE ANYONE WHO HAD PROBLEMS WITH THIS COMPANY BRETTI`S PRECISION TO CONTACT LAWERY IMMEDIATELY THEY ARE A COUPLE OF SHADE TREE CON ARTS OUT TO GET YOUR MONEY AND POSSIBLE GET U FOR YOUR CAR TO I JUST WENT ONLINE 11/21/2009 AND FOUND THEY HAVE TO MORE SHOPS ONE IN MCCOMB MISS. AND ONE IN FRANKLINTON LA AND THEY DIDN`T EVEN PLACE A SIGN AT THE ONE IN COVINGTON STATING THAT THEY HAD CLOSE THAT SHOP DOWN MY TRUCK IS STILL MISSING NEVER USE THESE COMPANY FOR ANY REPAIRS TRUST ME YOU WILL REGRET IT I KNOW IM REGRETING IT NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BADD BUSINESS NEED ALL BUSINESS LICENSE TAKEN
