gross. service was bad, food was bad, and crappy environment. i also heard that there were bugs and roaches in the kitchen from someone who delivers there.

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI had always eaten at Luis' on Alhambra until it closed. When I heard his son was opening his own restaurant, I had to find it. The location was not good but the food was as great as ever! My husband would get it to go since he works downtown. Now being pregnant, I am craving Luis Jr.'s! I hope they find a new location soon because I need the delicious shredded beef taco dinner! Everything I ever had off the menu was great. Their salsa and chips were the best! Hurry up and find a new "home"!

Highly critical rewiew placed on 01/10/09, despite Luis Jr's not even being in business for than a year prior to that time. Also, since the reviewer's record reflects only (3) reviews (all negative reviews of mexican restaurants), i'm left wondering whether they want to eat at bad restauants and warn future diners or whether they simply like to show off their restaurant slamming skills. Luis Jr's (and Luis's) were both very decent places to eat -- i.e. mom-and-pop style mexican food with no frills or fanfare.. We look forward to Luis Jr's (hopeful) reopening in 11/09! Great nostalgic comfort food! Love those mounds of beans and rice :)
