Big Daddy's what?: I went here quite awhile back last year sometime meet this guy who worked there think his name was Miles I believe real nice knowledgable guy. He was the Chef there at that time. Then the owner some spoiled little brat who's dad thought he could coach college basketball and couldn't started running it and got rid of the good people, like Miles and others now the food has gotten bad and attitudes are not as good as they were. I have seen the owner in before and his new Chef guy and they are just really something. Want real BBQ don't go here and the prices are way high for the quality of food and amount your don't get. If you want good service great BBQ and a nice place to be you can find much better then here anyplace in town.

I love daddy: Hubby and I had been checking out the Hawthorne area that day on out way to the Lucky Lab for drinks with friends and decided to eat first. We chose Big Daddies...It was a great choice! The pulled (or as I call it, shredded) pork was awsome! Full of flavor and juicey! Got a nice helping of calard greens which I never had before and the most moist corn bread Ive ever had, dea-lish! Hubby had the brisket, red beans and rice and fresh coleslaw that tasted homemade. We had our choice of 4 BBQ sauses on the table and the service was great. The waitress was very friendly and made sure to acknowledge everyone who entered even thought she was busy. The wait wasn't long at all and if it was, it would have been worth it. I have to wonder if this is how the southerners eat, yum-my! Worth checking out!
