What can be said about Blue Sky on Normandy: certanly the staff (food runners) do not shave, nor have hair nets, the floors needs a good swipping, not much on choices (the food warmers which I counted around 45 only had 1 fish, no seafood, and only 3 choices of beef related dishes, there is a lot of pork and chicken choices, no Kosher menu in a 30% jewish population area, the salads are very similar, mostly lettuce, no avocado salad, no romaine lettuce, no tomato salads, etc...), no manager on site, the place seems to be understaffed, too many handicap parking spaces, all employees are hispanics (what about African Americans? or Asians? or Caucasians? or jewish?) NO FOOD PRICES POSTED (Federal Compliance and mandatory), no food choking prevention posters, windows need cleaning, also the staff could use a little bit of smiling and "thank you" demeanor... Not everything is bad, the prices are moderate, the food is always warm, and they have a nice floor design and decoration. My question is:
Why "Caridad Restaurant" (a royal dump and the only competing cuban food place to eat in 2 miles radius, with almost no private parking and expensive garbage-like food) located about 1 and a half block away from blue Sky is always packed with people?

Not very impressive: The staff is not necessarily rude, but certainly impatient and less than friendly. Instead of being told how much I owed, the girl held out her hand, intpo which I was meant to put my $20 bill into first, then after it was rang up only then did I know how much the total was. The prices by the pound for their food aren't even listed, you have to take a leap of faith. Only the prices for coffees (Not very good) and the family size meals are listed. For example: one entree with three sides for five people: $32.00. The food is decent, but most of it has been sitting around in warmers since the morning, so not always fresh. Recommendation: explore other options in the area before coming here.
