" We flew in from Houston and while visiting relatives in Lackawanna and being there for our 40th LHS reunion, we wanted to go to this famous restaurant to eat. I called and a man answered never revealing his name and seemed irritated because he had to answer the phone on the 5th ring. I asked if we could make a reservation for that night and he said yes until he heard that there were 11 of us and 2 children. His response wasn't something like well, let me see if we can squeeze you in, it was an adimate, "Oh no, we can't handle that many people tonight." I asked, how about tomorrow night, his response was "Nope, not until next Monday", with an uncaring attitude like he didn't even want our business at all because he never asked if he could book us for next Monday. Now he may have just been having a bad day. But this was only like 1pm. If he was an employee, he needs to be fired. If this was the Chef/Owner I saw on TV, then he needs to hire someone to take reservations with a polite attitude and not an attitude of such discust in his voice like I was bothering him with my need for a reservation. Yes, this restaurant may be a FoodTV Network star (15 minutes of fame) but if that kind of attitude continues, I don't care if you have the best meatballs in the Universe, you won't last. I have heard nothing but good things about the food in this restaurant, but not having to taste the food yet I really have a bad taste in my mouth about how the food is served even before the service begins for Mulberry's customers. Needless to say, even though Mangia Ristorante' was totally booked, the manager was pleased to squeeze us in. Well Mulberry, that was a fast $500 you lost just from one reservation you wouldn't go out of your way for.
