To WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,
We would like to write to you to say how absolutely thrilled we are to have this Publix here near the beach. We are part time residents of North Hutch Isl.for many years coming from NY for vacation. We have always hoped for a Publix and have been here thru the Cash and Carry and Food Lion Days. We realize the location was marginal as far as customers are concerned.The police presence outside made it obvious. We knew people who would not shop here and travel all the way up to Vero Beach instead. Things have changed. We cannot say enough about John McNight, the manager. He is so fantastic. He never walks by ANYONE in the store without saying hello and offering help. We watch him when we shop and it is remarkable what he has done for this store. It also seems as if the mix of customers has become different. We see alot of people from our island there now doing major shopping (not just emergency runs). I even think some Vero people come down to us to avoid crowds!! We are sure it has to do with John. Of course all the staff is great, but he really stands out. Is it our imagination or are you also expanding some of the gourmet items like cheeses and produce? We feel no need to travel 12 miles to Vero anymore. Thank you and please don't ever transfer him to another store.
