I love Wingstop but this one here has left a bad mark. It has stained not only Wingstop Reputation. Perhaps its because of those who are now running this place. It used to be a very good place to eat and they had a magnificent Manager who had been transferred.
Let me start to tell you what happened. This occurred one Friday night when my family and I joined some friends who were already there and had just ordered. There is a big round table there and this where we were going to sit. The place was already packed and there were 4 other chairs available and naturally I said lets let the kids sit there. But as I was ordering I also noticed that they were putting up the chairs and adding "Reserved" labels on them.
So we did our best to go ahead an make room for the kids to sit down with us at the table. We were very crowded there.
After we got our wings, about 10 minutes later. One of the Employees comes over and says "You guys have to leave because this table is reserved". We were like what? by this point, stress and anger started to get us all. Our appetite was gone. They kept looking at us from the cashier area and like saying, when are you guys leaving.
They came again and asked that we have to leave.
NO Apology was offered. Not even to say , that they made a mistake etc. There was no Reserve label on the table even before we got there. We finally got up and took the wings home and by then we were upset, no appetite and cold food!!
We have never been so humiliated in a restaurant before at all. Any restaurant. This place used to be good, now it's an embarrassment.
We felt that we discriminated, in fact, it feels this way because as we were leaving the group that had originally reserved this came in and where of a different race. This might be a coincidence but the bottom line is that they can't kick you just because they made mistake and reserving a table that is in use!!!!!
I called next Monday to report it to Wingstop Corporate and although they did offer an apology for what had happened and to say that they would have the district manager call me, they have not.
THIS WING STOP USE TO BE THE BEST WHEN THEY HAD A GUY NAMED THEO MANAGING ITT... NOW THEY TRANFERES HIM TO ANOTHER LOCATION AND THE NEW GUY THEY HAVE MANAGING THE PLACE LEAVES THE WINGS IN THE DEEP FRYER TO LONG AND OVER COOKS THE WINGS TO THE POINT THAT THEY TASTE STRINGY AND RUBBERY AND ARE RUFF AND CHEWY AND THE FRIES ARE A LITTLE OVER DONE AS WELL..... SO I STOPPED GOING THERE ...... MANN I MISS THE MANAGER NAMED THEO..... HE NEW HOW TO MAKE THE WINGS JUSS RIGHT AND DELICIOUS AND HAD HIS STAFF TRAINED TO MAKE THEM GOOD..... O WELL I GUESS ITS TIME TO TRY AND FIND A NEW WING STOP LOCATION,,,,JUSS SAYING...
