We came across L & J during a weekend stay in the Gouldsboro, PA, area. We had two great meals here. During a stop for lunch, we had burgers & fries. The burgers were real-deal handmade patties with buns that were baked on premises. The fries were probably the best I've ever had. The next morning, we stopped in for breakfast. Their French toast is made with their homemade bread. The omelet I had was cooked to perfection and the homefries were great. I ordered whole wheat toast and the waiter brought out a six pieces of toast, again featuring their homemade bread. Simply awesome stuff. The decor is quaint but not real fancy. The service is excellent,the staff is friendly and the prices are amazingly low for the quality of the food you get. I highly recommend L & J for excellent, diner-type, food. You won't be dissapointed.
