User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWe have lived in Farmington for 12 + years and since El Tequila opened several years back we have dined there 1 to 2 times per month. The food and service have always been great! We have dined at Theresa's in Lakeville a number of times but we always go back to El Tequila's....it is our favorite!

El Tequila in Farmington is perfect for families. We go there almost every Friday or Saturday night, with our 20-month old daughter. The service is fast, the servers are friendly, and the food is good and the margaritas are decent (sorry to see the other reviewer did not like) and everything is reasonably priced. With that said, the atmosphere leaves a little to be desired, but our daughter loves the Mariachi band that comes almost every weekend night. The food is good, not great. But it's fast and we never have to wait to get a table, so it works out great for our family.
User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsIt has been a year since I was here last and El Tequila has definitely taken a turn for the worst. Everything about my experience was awful. The food was awful, service was awful, and even the margaritas were awful. It was like a completely different restaurant. The cheese crispi wasn't what I remember it to be (large and crispi, but this time it was small and overcooked) and margarita was probably the worst I have ever had. My advice, keep driving and go to El Loros or Teresas. The only reason why I gave it a two and not a one was because they forgot to charge us for the drinks (The only good thing to come of the experience).
