had lunch today (5/13/09). took a look at the buffet & it didnt impress me. instead i ordered their pub fried haddock sandwich & onion rings. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! it was great. absolutely loved it. they are expensive but the food was great. tried the strawberry shortline which is a "fried dough" with strawberries & whipped cream. i wasnt impressed. the dough was great & i woulda enjoyed it if it was covered in cinnamon sugar but the strawberries killed it. i will eat there again as my cousins have a "cousins" lunch there as often as possible but ill skip the shortline.
I liked their food but the menu is very limited. I know a few of their servers and it seems the owners treats them really bad. You have to tip them 15% because the owner claims their tips, which I think is not legal. Some of those workers work 6-8 hrs for a $30 check for that day. I haven't gone there again since I heard that, I don't support slavery.
dont really know about this place the trains are a nice feature except when they are passing by, the food very pricey and not really worth it the mismatched dinner ware the damaged silverware and plastic baskets they serve their fare in just isnt for me maybe i was looking for fine dining that just wasnt there. i guess if its the trains your coming to see the food is passable.
