User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGreat place to go. The office might not be the most modern but compared to the other nearest office this Vet is a godsend.
Apparently you guys complaining never actually been to the other offices in the area. Savanna animal hospital is a disgrace. I will never pay/take a pet to a office with a large staff that still needs to reference a diagnosis online in the same fashion I could free at home. When they get stuck in a rut the first thing they do is suggest euthanasia!
I would also recommend Dr. Gary Farmer in Dagsboro.-

I liked the Dr, he was efficient and seemed quite nice . . . but the other staff are SOOO rude and the hospital is bit of a dump and extremely extremely dirty. The plus side is that it is a lot less expensive than Savannah.

Take your pet in a carrier, take them out in a coffin.
I had a 7 week old kitten with fluid around the eye with a few scrapes. I called on Saturday to ask about an appointment and was told 'Oh, you got 20 minutes, after that we're gone"...which I was 20 minutes away at least, so I waited till Monday.
I took her in to get it checked out. She was so FREAKED OUT by the vet (she must have known), they said they needed to keep her to sedate/clean the eye/wounds. ... The problem... They NEVER ONCE asked if she ate that morning.
The kitten vomited while sedated and got fluid in her lungs...then they HELD HER HOSTAGE (to the point I was looking up the police department) till I transfered funds around cause they refused to let me pay half now and half in THREE DAYS when I got paid again...
They told us she had fluid in her lungs now...but she'd get better... Before she went in she was happy, purring, running around, eating fine, using the litter box, and was just a bundle of love. I was just worried about her being blind in one eye!
... over the next few hours she was nothing but a ragdoll with pupils dialated. She could barely focus on me. I held her, pet her...her breathing became more ragid...the last 15 minutes she just screamed, gasped and died.
These people treat their hospital like mcdonalds...in and out, focus on quantity and not quality. Their lack of questioning involveing the animal caused it to become sick, then they tossed it out as quickly as possible to no longer be responsible. I can't believe there are people in this world so...cruel.

Our realator recommended Rehoboth Animal Hospital. This is the worst animal hospital I've ever been too. The reception staff is abrupt, not helpful or courteous. We never even saw the vet, just the assistant. I submitted the postcard with our dogs wellness treatment, they did nothing on the list but give a rabies vaccine and weigh her. When it was questioned they admitted oversight and suggested we come back to wait again. Their first come first serve policy had me waiting there for 2hrs. The cleanliness of this hospital leaves something to be improved on as well. I would strongly suggest if you love your pet to find another hospital for them.
