The quality of food in this place is a joke. The service was very slow too. This goes to show that one cannot get fusion or "noveau" latin food in South Florida. New York, Chicago, or Miami yes...try Ola or Cacao. But, not elsewere in South Florida, no. We had the Ropa Vieja: when you look at the meat, all you saw was black...no tomatoes, no spices, nothing...just a bland uniform black color...totally unappealing and unflavorful. The rice it came with was like a mexican rice, not white but like a reddish brown color...and the beans did not taste like cuban beans at all...color was not even black like they should be (should be pure black color). The paella was really boring as well...nothing special to it at all. The wine list was disappointing as well. Tables are really close to eachother, packing everyone in. We will never go back. This is why we actually skipped on desserts. Much better off going to Padrinos or Cuban Cafe...both in Boca. Not as trendy as this joint, but food is amazing - like Cuban should be.
