Everyone, this apartment complex has HORRIFIC reviews which can been seen in detail at: www.apartmentratings.com - here's my review:

Well where should I start!'

1. Parking is horrible. Managment has a terrible policy on parking so expect to park far away and walk quite a distance to your apartment.

2. Theres a lot of crime in Chestnut Farm apartments. I've only lived here 6 months and there has been MULTIPLE overnight break-ins to cars. One occasion last month, 11 cars were broken in to and vandalized. Management does NOTHING to help. You'd think for the price they charge for rent, they could hire a security car... but nope, they don't care!

3. I've witnessed drug deals outside my apartment and garage. This place is NOT safe for children. Again, managment is useless and they do nothing about this issue.

4. The mail service is TERRIBLE. EVERY SINGLE DAY we get someone elses mail in our mail box. I assume other people are getting our mail as well. Nothing done by managment dispite multiple complaints.

5. The trash dumpster is constantly over flowing - smells and looks horrible.

6. The floors are terribly noisy and they have admitted that there is a defect in the floors that makes more noise than a normal floor. Maintenence is always trying to come into the apartment to "fix" the floors.

7. The entire apartment complex has a horrible mold problem. Management has not successfully addressed this issue. Instead, when you rent from them now they make you sign a form saying "the tenant is responsible for taking care of the mold". UNREAL.

8. Hot water is constantly running out. Have to wait an hour in between taking short showers.

9. WAY OVERPRICED. You can find way better apartments for much much cheaper. They advertise 950$ for a 1 bedroom, but that's only if you have no job! In reality, I have a 1 bedroom and I pay $1450 a month. WHAT A RIP OFF!

10. Look at all the complaints from various users on this page. I wish we would have found this before we moved in. Don't be tricked by management! Go elsewhere!

I truly believe this place is a horrible place to live at specially if you have teens. I was promised by the girl that did my lease that they hardly increase the rent. Honestly the rent has been increased twice 60.00 everytime and I only been here 1 1/2 yrs. Another thing is they dont want kids skateboarding "safty issue" please if that was the case they would have put speed bumps!!! Kids are kids and if they want to skate they will (I even took his skateboard away) I have gotten around 4 letters from the office saying people are complaining about the kids skateboarding. They rather speed through here than drive slowly. My son is not the only kid that skates here but he is the only colored one that does and the rest of his friends aren't. And I just got a letter saying they are not renewing my lease do to that "liability". When I called the office the assured me they sent letters to all the parents and guess what that was a lie. Of course I askes around my neighbors. So please think twice if you plan to move here.
